Gerald Hausman has been called "the Johnny Appleseed of storytelling" and "a storyteller in the Mark Twain tradition." A gifted, natural-born storyteller, he has spent his adult life spinning tales and preserving the stories of the old west and of the Native American tribes. Although he has won numerous awards for his work as an author, his greatest pleasure comes from telling his stories in the tradition of oral historians throughout the ages. Audiences young and old have experienced a Hausman-told story at venues as varied as National Public Radio, The History Channel, The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts and the American Library Association.

Recently Gerald Hausman appeared at The Young At Art Museum in Broward County Florida and told of his encounter with the pugilistic Big Lizard.
